The Tigers reach the century mark as they defeat the Sooners 101-75. There was not a doubt on who was coming out with the win tonight. The Tigers will need to keep there great play going, as they play 1 seed Gonzaga in the Round of 32.
#5 Michigan vs. #12 Yale
The Bulldogs keep the 12 seed magic going as they defeat the Wolverines 86-77! Michigan went cold from the field late and Yale made the plays they needed to in order to close out the game. Swain led the Bulldogs with 22 points and 5 threes.
#4 Oregon vs. #13 New Mexico State
The Ducks were very aware of upsets that had taken place in this tournament already, and they made sure to take care of business in the First Round. Pritchard has a great night with 26 points, 7 rebounds, 7 assists, and 5 threes.
#6 BYU vs. #11 Indiana
Indiana starts off the game hot and then holds off BYU in the 2nd Half to win 87-72. Jackson-Davis records a double double and 4 players reach double figures in the 15 point win.
#3 Seton Hall vs. #14 Eastern Washington
Seton Hall is dominant from the beginning tip to the final whistle against Eastern Washington. They scored 84 points, but the most impressive part of the performance may have been the defense. They hold the Eagles to only 29.3% from the field and a tournament low 49 points.
#7 Arizona vs. #10 Texas Tech
This matchup may have been the most exciting of the tournament so far! Texas Tech makes a double digit comeback hitting shot after shot in the final minutes. They exchange buckets with Arizona, but Edwards for Texas Tech gets the last say by hitting a game winning 3!
#2 San Diego State vs. #15 UC Irvine
The Aztecs come out and get the 73-64 win over the Anteaters. UC Irvine plays tough, but San Diego State ended up being too much in the end. The Aztecs will play Texas Tech in the Round of 32.
