North Carolina rolls past Wake Forest in 2nd Half

Wake Forest came into Monday’s game going for their first win at Chapel Hill since 2010. It looked promising in the 1st Half, with the Demon Deacons able to take a 34-33 lead into the break. North Carolina was not shooting the ball well from outside and it felt like maybe this was the time for Wake Forest to end that streak.

Well, it was a completely different story in the 2nd Half. The Tar Heels outscore the Deacs 52-30 and pull away for an 85-64 win. RJ Davis had a career night with 36 points, 4 rebounds, and was 4-8 from 3-point range. Davis is making a strong case for being named the ACC Player of the Year.

The Demon Deacons just could not get it going from 3-point range, shooting just 3-20 (15%) on the night. They were also outscored 15-1 on fastbreak points which hurt them in the 2nd Half.
